North Forsyth High School needed a fresh look for their varsity softball field—and wanted it ready before first pitch. With school pride running deep and community support at the heart of their program, the goal was clear: transform the outfield into a space that energized players, impressed fans, and spotlighted local sponsors. Collins Company stepped in with a full-service windscreen package designed to elevate aesthetics, improve fence visibility, and boost the overall game-day experience.

The challenge

With a tight timeline ahead of the spring opener, this project required seamless collaboration and flexibility. Custom sponsor logos and team graphics needed to be carefully designed to fit the existing fence layout, while ensuring maximum visual impact from the bleachers. Midway through planning, an unexpected windstorm damaged parts of the chain-link fence—bending tension bars and compromising structural integrity. That meant install couldn’t proceed until repairs were made.

The solution

Collins Co. managed the full scope from creative to install—providing art mockups, adjusting to on-the-ground challenges, and maintaining tight coordination with the athletic department. When the fence damage was discovered during our pre-install review, our team flagged it immediately and worked with the school to push the schedule while repairs were underway. Once the fence was secure, we rescheduled installation to make sure everything was up before the first home game. The end result? Durable, vibrant windscreens installed without a hitch.

The newly branded outfield was a home run.
